Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the Cascade Pacific Council Climbing Committee, and help them design and create a clean and new website. The goal of this site was to provide links and resources to members who want to take their units climbing, as well as spread knowledge about the program and the trainings that they hold. Part of this build also included a photo gallery for members of the Climbing Committee to share photos of their outings, so the participants and their parents could see themselves and their kids in action. This experience gave me the opportunity to start fresh, and design a site from the ground up, and exercise some creative vision. I went with a clean and modern look, which lets the content speak for itself, rather than getting in the way. This site is built on WordPress, which meant I had plenty of freedom to use integrations and plugins to make things easier to manage for the end user who will be updating the content.
